Karena Ryan

"I Will Arise" is a collection of textile artwork by artist Karena Ryan and is inspired by William Butler Yeats.

Karena takes Yeat's words and language and imagines them into a piece of textile art. She uses her vintage typewriter, Irish tweed, Aran knit, hand dyed linens, cottons and silk to create each unique piece. Hand beading is often added for embellishment. Karena is passionate about working as sustainably as possible and this is reflected in her art.
